Properties for RDF
Entity properties is used for defining and modifying Resources of the select Ontology. The Ontology navigator shows the ontology projects. The Entity Properties panel is the main work area.
In the “Entity Properties” you can edit all properties. Property values of entities (classes and properties) are selected from the tree in the Ontology Navigator.
Some specifications about the “Property Values” tab are:
The behavior of the value cell will change depending on the defined range for a property.
Auto completion list proposes and accepts only the values matching the range. Only one data type range or language has to be entered. Data type is a string. The new row icon creates new row beneath the current one with pre-filled property and data type/range.
This will reduce the time taken for entering multiple values for the same property.
RDF has got a set of predefined properties;
They are comment, label,isDefinedby, member, seeAlso, They are always available when you enter property values, but they are not displayed in the Ontology Navigator.
You can have 2 options to set up properties:
I. Create an anonymous property and you can assign it to a Class. To do so, select the property after creating it in the tree and add the class to the Domain table. An auto completion list will be helpful.
II. Create a property within the property page of a Class. This will directly add the respective class to the Domain table of the property.
Property Values can be entered for other resources classes and properties. This is usually done to give comments or Labels for those Resources.
A blank node can be used as subject or object in an RDF triple.
